Paddle Ladder -- 2009
Quicklinks:
The purpose of the Park Lakes Winter Paddle Ladder is to give you a chance to play more paddle, have good matches, AND HAVE FUN. The ladder is a list of paddle teams roughly in order of ability. You'll play others near you on the ladder who are about your level of skill. The objective is to give everyone a chance to play paddle at their own level so that the matches will be fun and exciting.
Teams on the ladder can challenge other teams within a certain distance above them. Those that win, rise in the ladder. Those that don't, drift downward. By the end, the ladder should be a pretty close ranking of the teams by ability. The advantage is that the teams around you on the ladder will be roughly your level of ability so you'll always have good matches.
The ladder season runs from Dec 1 to April 1. Gender is irrelevant. Teams can be M-M, M-F, or F-F.
Whether you are a beginner, novice, or a serious, experienced player you will be able to meet and play as much as you want against others about like you.
You'll play against old friends and maybe meet some new ones. You will also have the opportunity to improve your play by challenging others who are slightly more advanced.
Sound like fun? To get started, click and read the rules link above. Then select your partner -- you'll have the same partner all season so the two of you will get good at playing together. Then just email the names and contact information for your team to the ladder coordinator. Once it's approved, your team will appear on the ladder and you can begin playing matches against other teams.
If you'd like to play on the ladder but don't know anyone, send an e-mail to the coordinator and they will attempt to find someone for you.
